Job summary

W.W. Williams is seeking a motivated Marine Diesel Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing maintenance and emergency services on marine engines for yachts, personal and commercial vessels.

The role emphasizes accurate repairs following manufacturer procedures and documenting work orders. You will work with engine/transmission/hydraulic systems; diagnose failures, inspect components, and ensure safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a boatyard, marine dealership or shop environment.
• Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., transmissions, engines, hydraulics), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
• Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on inboard Marine Diesel Engines as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
• Diagnose failure of vessels by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
• Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.
• Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
