General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works in Brunswick, ME is seeking Marine Designers at the 2nd Class level. You will perform 2D/3D modeling, visualization, and resolve design issues during ship construction, including development of alteration drawings for repairs and electronic drafting of installation drawings.

Applicants must have strong CAD/CAM skills, the ability to read and follow technical procedures, and excellent teamwork.

Qualifications

• Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical procedures, standards, and work instructions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Perform marine design activities that include 2D and/or 3D modeling & visualization.
• Resolve design-related problems encountered during ship construction, including occasional ship-checking.
• Develop ship alteration drawings for repair/alteration of ships in the fleet.
• Produce electronic drafting of installation & fabrication drawings.
• Extract computer aided manufacturing data.
