System One has immediate needs for Piping/Mechanical Designers to support the design and construction of complex marine vessels in Mobile, AL. The role covers 2D/3D CAD development, reviews, and cross-disciplinary coordination with engineers and production teams.

Open to Level I through IV with compensation based on experience, offering growth into technical leadership and project coordination. This contract-based assignment blends design rigor with hands-on mentoring responsibilities.

Formación

• 1+ years of piping design experience required.
• 2D and 3D AutoCAD experience required.
• Associate degree or higher in CAD, Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.
• Create production-ready design documentation for vessel construction.
• Review and check drawings and models developed by CAD Drafters and junior designers.
• Interpret engineering drawings, system schematics, compartment arrangements, structural key plans, and electrical diagrams.
• Create and maintain accurate 3D models utilizing vendor-supplied and design information.
• Coordinate with engineers, production personnel, program management, suppliers, and customers.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications, customer requirements, and production standards.
• Assist in resolving design conflicts and interferences within the model environment.
• Support schedule commitments and meet project deadlines.
• Mentor and train junior designers and CAD Drafters as experience level dictates.
• Participate in design reviews and production support activities.
