Job summary

Hydrasearch is seeking a Design Engineer to lead mechanical design for recreational marine product lines in Stevensville, MD. You will bridge design and process engineering, defining production methods, routers, and BOMs while supporting hands‑on assembly in an AS9100 environment.

Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering; Experience: 1–3 years; you will create 3D models and drawings, with focus on quality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency. This is an on‑site role with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design and statics.

Responsibilities

• Product Development: design mechanical components and assemblies and translate requirements into clear technical docs and 3D models.
• Manufacturing Definition: maintain product DNA with BOMs, routers, and work instructions for stable production.
• Engineering Change Management: drive ECR/ECO processes to support improvements and data accuracy.
• Operations Support: troubleshoot on the production floor related to materials, tolerances, or assembly.
• Process Improvement: implement manufacturing enhancements for quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Supply Chain Liaison: communicate with suppliers on components and outside processes.
