Summerset Marine Construction in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a Construction Laborer to assist with the installation and dismantling of piers, boat lifts, and related marine structures. The role involves outdoor work in varied weather, prioritizing safety and teamwork to deliver projects on time.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR, and the ability to swim. CDL A is a plus; CPR/first aid certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Clean MVR.
• CDL A preferred.
• Experience in a marine or construction environment is advantageous.
• Ability to swim and work on or near water.
• Familiarity with hand tools, basic carpentry, and machinery.
• Boater safety certification a plus.
• CPR and first aid certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, maintenance, and dismantling of docks, piers, and other marine structures.
• Load, unload, identify, and distribute building materials and equipment for daily operations.
• Operate hand and power tools and maintain them properly.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on small boats and assist barges.
• Follow safety procedures and wear personal flotation devices as required.
• Set up and remove scaffolding and temporary structures at job sites.
• Clean and prepare sites and remove debris from barges and waterways.
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
