Job summary

Summerset Marine Construction is hiring a Manufacturing Laborer to perform carpentry, framing, and decking assembly for piers. You will read blueprints and CAD drawings to ensure accurate design and measurements, and you’ll use hand and power tools to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

The role requires 1–3 years of framing or construction experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team while maintaining strong communication and time-management

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years in framing, carpentry, or construction preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, construction drawings, and using hand/power tools safely.
• Familiarity with modern carpentry techniques, materials, and measurement tools.
• Strong math, layout, and measuring skills.
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced team.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work including framing, cutting, and assembling materials with precision.
• Pound decking, pre-cut HDPE for decking pallets, and complete skirting sections in-house.
• Construct framing for piers and structural elements from blueprints and CAD drawings.
• Support assembly and installation of decking materials and related accessories.
• Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations; maintain a clean, safe workspace.
