Job summary

Delphinus Engineering, Inc. is seeking a qualified application specialist to perform paint coatings on ships and non-nuclear components in Norfolk, VA. You will apply and remove various coatings per NAVSEA standards while handling hazardous materials safely.

The ideal candidate has two years of marine or industrial coatings experience and a high school diploma or GED. The position pays $20-$25 per hour, with benefits including health insurance and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of experience in marine coatings and/or industrial coatings.
• Preferred certifications: C12, C7, C14 or NBPI.
• Ability to resolve issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Handle and utilize hazardous materials and solvents safely.
• Apply and remove various paint coatings on ships.
• Prepare and mask surfaces for preservation.
• Maintain general housekeeping during shifts.
