Job summary

IMIA, LLC is seeking a Brush and Roll Painter for shipyard and customer facility projects. You will prepare surfaces, mix and apply multiple coating types, and support spray teams. You must follow NAVSEA and manufacturer guidelines and maintain safety and house-keeping practices on site.

Experience in marine coatings and NAVSEA standards is preferred. The role is full-time, on-site at shipyards and customer facilities, with a pay range of $20.00–$31.00 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of coating thickness measurement and quality checks.
• Ability to follow work instructions and NAVSEA/Manufacturer guidelines.
• OSHA 10 Maritime certification is required or provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces per guidelines and client specs.
• Apply coatings (epoxy, enamel, antifouling, etc.)
• Stripe coats in tanks and weld areas as needed.
• Mix coatings per NAVSEA data sheets and manufacturer specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper disposal of materials.
• Support spray teams and assist with equipment setup and operation.
• Assist in containment and removal tasks as required.
