Job summary

Founders 3 seeks a General Manager for the New Bern Grand Marina to lead daily operations and a dedicated team. You will oversee staff, ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and drive ongoing capital projects while building strong relationships with customers, vendors, and ownership.

You will develop and monitor budgets and financial performance, partner with the Marina Leadership team, and strive to exceed guest expectations across the marina campus and upland properties.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising marina staff (or similar operations).
• Experience in operations management and team leadership.
• Ability to manage budgets and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervision, coordination, and evaluation of staff to ensure safe, smooth docking, fueling, maintenance and housekeeping.
• Oversee grounds, equipment and building maintenance to maintain property standards and inventory.
• Oversee winterization of docks, fuel dock, pool area and buildings.
• Assist in hiring, evaluating performance, motivating, coaching staff, and addressing customer or tenant concerns.
• Partnering with the Marina Leadership team to deliver budgets, objectives and overall progress of the Marina.

F3 Marina is a leader in professional marina management and consulting services to marina owners anywhere. Our services include all aspects of waterfront development and management, including marinas and adjacent upland property, such as multi-family and retail. We provide the expertise, experience and attention to detail to delight our boaters, clients and communities while maximizing occupancy and revenue.

We are looking for a General Manager to lead our team at the New Bern Grand Marina!

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a marina that has been recently added to our growing portfolio. As the Marina General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the marina. This includes overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading capital improvement projects. As the marina leader, you will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and ownership and develop, manage and monitor budgets and financial performance.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervision, coordination, and evaluation of the staff to ensure safe, smooth wet slip docking, fueling, maintenance and housekeeping.
• Oversee grounds, equipment and building maintenance to ensure the property is in excellent condition and exceed our customers’ expectations. Ensure an adequate inventory of all supplies needed to maintain the standards of the property.
• Oversee winterization of docks, fuel dock, pool area and buildings
• Assist in hiring, evaluating employee performance, motivating, and coaching employees, and addressing customer or tenant concerns
• Partnering closely with the Marina Leadership team to deliver budgets, objectives, and overall progress of the Marina
