Job summary

City of Corpus Christi is seeking a Marina Dockhand II for night shifts to patrol, clean facilities, and support maintenance of marina docks and yard equipment. The role also involves operating the 20-ton boat lift crane and assisting with towing and water-based projects.

You will interact with customers, assist with safety enforcement, and help dockhand I with daily tasks. Required are a High School Diploma and two years’ experience, CPR/First Aid, and a valid driver’s license with ability to

Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED required.
Two years of relevant marina or dockhand experience.
CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

Performs daily/weekly inspections of all vehicles and equipment to ensure equipment is safe for daily operations.
Inspect all lubricants for correct level, inspect turn signals, warning lights, headlights for proper operation, inspect wheels/tires for wear/damage and proper air pressure.
Assists other marina dockhands with daily facilities routine cleaning.
Operates yard lift crane and assists with docking/haul-out services as needed.
Provides information to marina customers and enforces safety rules during activities.
Assists with boat towing, debris removal, and water-based projects.
Maintains inventory of equipment and ensures tools are returned after projects.
