Job summary

Altruist is seeking a Manager, Trading Credit Risk (Margin & Options) to own the credit and market risk framework for margin and options products within the Trading & Brokerage Operations group. This is an individual contributor role with a clear path toward leadership as you build the function from the ground up.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of credit risk/margin risk or market risk experience at a broker-dealer, clearing firm, or custodian.
• Hands-on experience with margin methodologies, house requirements, stress testing, and concentration analysis.
• Strong knowledge of options risk including assignment/exercise exposure and expiration risk.
• Demonstrated ability to make time-sensitive risk decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own daily credit risk surveillance across margin accounts using SCM and SRM.
• Design, calibrate, and maintain house margin requirements (security-level and account-level add-ons).
• Monitor concentration, liquidity, and volatility risk; run stress scenarios.
• Set collateral treatment and approve margin changes, extensions, and exceptions.
