Job Title: Percussion Tech, Marching Tech

Reports To: Coordinator Fine Arts

Minimum Salary: Temporary Hourly Rate

Type of Assignment: Non-Exempt

Mid-Point Salary: N/A

Contract Status: At-Will

Funding: This position is locally funded.

Position Summary: Support the goals of the assigned campus/department and perform routine assigned tasks under the direction and supervision of the professional staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the Texas Education Agency.
• Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the candidate.

• Previous experience related to the position

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Skill in communicating effectively with diverse groups of individuals utilizing tact and diplomacy
• Ability to establish and maintain solid service relations with all staff, students, and administration
• Knowledge of proper campus procedures and etiquette
• Skill in coaching, accompanying, instruction, and tutoring etc. to meet the requirements of the position
• Knowledge of general office equipment

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain appropriate confidentiality concerning all students and staff
• Complete required forms,
• Perform duties assigned by District Staff
• Adhere to District policies and procedures
• Attendance and punctuality arerequired
• Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard instructional equipment, including personal computer and peripherals.

Posture: Prolonged standing, frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.

Motion: Frequent walking, including frequent keyboarding/use of mouse; occasional reaching.

Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment.

Environment: Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise.

Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.
