Liberty High School is seeking to hire a woodwind instructor to assist with teaching flute, clarinet, and saxophone students in sectional and large group settings within the Marching Band. Applicants will also work with students on visual responsibilities and marching technique. Though woodwinds will be the main focus, applicants will also assist in full ensemble rehearsals. Applicants will work as part of a team with other coaches, band staff, and directors to deliver high quality instruction to students throughout the marching band season. Prior experience through performance and/or coaching is preferred. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to teaching and working with students, coordinating and communicating with administration, staff, and community members.

Performs temporary, instructional-related activities at the direction of a licensed staff member.

Compensation for all hired extra pay positions (coaches, sponsors, ancillary instructors, etc.) is contingent upon the specific athletic, activity, or academic event being approved by the District to occur during the school year related to this position/posting.

Work Environment:

Physical Demands:

  • Typical demands require staff to lift and carry up to 20 pounds, and may be higher for some assignments depending on position and student need; climb stairs, ladders, and/or stools; reach, hold, grasp and turn objects; use fingers to operate computer keyboards; feel the shape, size and temperature of objects
