Job Objective
Under a five‑year contract, the MARCENT Exercise Logistics Planner will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands. The role provides professional services for MARCENT located aboard MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), Florida, serving as a Component Command to U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM). The Planner will support the Logistics Directorate (G‑4) both within the continental United States (CONUS) and overseas (OCONUS), planning deployment, sustainment, and redeployment support for Marine Corps forces assigned or attached to CENTCOM.
Responsibilities
- Provide Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) level and component level exercise planning at an expert proficiency level.
- Integrate input from multiple logistics support activities and develop a comprehensive exercise logistics plan, including guidance for deployment and redeployment of exercise participants.
- Review proposed exercise logistics plans, provide logistical supportability recommendations, draft exercise planning document inputs, and modify exercise documents to improve logistics programs, ensuring plans meet mission requirements.
- Coordinate with personnel from HQMC, CENTCOM, and other military staff as required.
- Review and provide input to MARCENT and CENTCOM exercise documents, and draft exercise logistics Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) inject items.
- Assist the MARCENT Staff and subordinate elements in achieving training objectives.
- Assist the MARCENT G‑4 staff in developing training and exercise related Standard Operating Procedures, Execution Checklists, Policies, Orders, and Directives by participating in planning teams, working groups, and conferences.
Qualifications
- Current U.S. passport with ability to travel and work overseas.
- Ability to meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements under OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01 and Air Force Manual 17‑1301.
- Completion of a favorable ST5 investigation (including SBPR, PPR, T5R, or current enrollment in the DoD Continuous Evaluation program). Adjudication for SCI eligibility by the DoD Central Adjudication Facility without conditions, exceptions, or waivers at the time of performance, and maintenance of the required security level for the contract’s life.
- TS/SCI security clearance.
- Expert proficiency level of Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) level and component level exercise planning.
- Experience with MARCENT G‑4 Standard Operating Procedures, Execution Checklists, Policies, Orders, and Directives.
- Ten years of military experience.
Travel and Work Location
- Location: MARCENT, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.
- Travel: Contractor personnel must support travel in support of government requirements to MARCENT AOR and supporting locations, including but not limited to Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Israel, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Djibouti, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy, and Greece. The candidate must be available for travel on less than 24 hours’ notice and possess the ability to execute OCONUS travel throughout the Central Command (CENTCOM) AOR.
