Butternut Mountain Farm is seeking an Experienced Production Operator for maple syrup packaging. The role offers a four-day workweek with early shifts in Morrisville, Vermont, and a starting rate of $21.40 hourly.

The team values reliability, initiative, and learning, with opportunities to train others as you grow. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining packaging equipment, monitoring product flow, and maintaining production records.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or production experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
• Strong reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to follow procedures and quality requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, clean, and support production equipment.
• Perform production tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment, materials, product flow, and finished product quality.
• Identify problems or inconsistencies and communicate them promptly.
• Complete basic production records and computer/data-entry tasks.
• Support syrup handling, barrel washing, packaging, and related production operations.
• Move between tasks or work areas as production priorities change.
• Cross-train on multiple processes and pieces of equipment.
• Learn from experienced employees and, as your skills develop, help train and support others.
• Participate in continuous improvement by identifying better, safer, or more efficient ways to perform the work.
