Job summary

Magna Cosma International in Piedmont, SC, is seeking a collaborative supervisor to oversee daily line operations, emphasize safety and quality, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include conducting pre-shift inspections, coordinating and assigning daily tasks, recording downtime and performance data, and ensuring adherence to Magna, OSHA, and environmental policies on each shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Forklift license to be obtained within 1 week of hire.
• Prior SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily Pre-Shift inspections and frequency checks are completed accurately and conduct planned inspection audits on each shift.
• Follow, comply and enforce all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).
• Conduct Pre-Shift meetings with the team to communicate safety and/or quality issues and production targets.
• Fills in for Team Members that need to temporarily leave the line (emergency, bathroom break, etc.).
• Complete all necessary documentation including hourly data collection with downtime reasons and daily performance graphing.
• Coordinate and assign job responsibility for team members on a daily basis.
• Maintain open communication and provide continued support to other departments regarding any changes, problems, or special projects.
• Encourages open communications; confronts difficult situations; maintains objectivity; keeps emotions under control; uses negotiation skills to resolve conflicts.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to the supervisor regarding team member performance and training needs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required
• WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:Valid driver's license. Current forklift license to be obtained within 1 week of hired. Documented proof of training every three years for maintenance of forklift/truck license must be maintained.Prior SAP experience preferred
