Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor for MAP in Farm St, MA. The role focuses on rehabilitative support for adults in Group Living Environments, helping residents develop daily living skills and community integration.

You will teach ADLs, support treatment plans under clinician guidance, and ensure MAP-compliant medication administration. You will also assist with transportation, documentation, and advocacy while maintaining a safe home environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communications skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• High school diploma or GED required; direct care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications by MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
