Job summary

BAMSI, Inc. in Attleboro, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor MAP to support adults in group living environments, providing rehabilitative assistance and daily living skills training.

You will implement treatment plans under clinician guidance, supervise medications per MAP guidelines, transport residents, and advocate for residents’ needs while maintaining a safe, supportive home. MAP certification required or obtained within 3 months; valid driver’s license recommended.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MAP certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Valid driver’s license helpful for transportation to activities and appointments.
• English communication skills essential; mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs such as cooking, budgeting, and medication management.
• Implement/monitor treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
