Job summary

Tindall Corporation, a leading precast concrete manufacturer in the southeastern U.S., is seeking a general labor helper for production. You will assist with cutting strand and aiding pours for concrete members, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Duties include housekeeping and supporting plant operations on the bed. Ideal candidates have a GED or HS diploma and are willing to learn basic fabrication tasks in a manufacturing environment; on-site work in the Georgia facility is

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality products.
• Receives instructions, rolls torches, steel and tool buggies to bed and unloads.
• Lays out rebar, plates, loops, channel and insulations, etc.
• Pulls strand, threading bulkheads, block outs, frames and dead man; cuts strand with grinder and places chucks on ends.
• Places and ties rebar, loops, stem and flange wire, chair flange wire; places form and side plates.
• Prepares for pours.
• Cleans up around beds after members are stripped and disposes of trash, scrap wood, etc.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Summary of Primary Functions:

Cuts strand, and assists with the process of pouring concrete in bed as necessary for the production of a concrete member. Assists with housekeeping and other plant tasks.
