Job summary

Tindall Corporation in Mississippi's Moss Point is seeking a plant helper to assist with concrete pours and bed duties. You will help with housekeeping and moving materials to support the production process.

You will follow safety and quality rules, lay out reinforcement, prepare for pours, and perform routine duties as directed by a supervisor. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior plant experience helpful but not mandatory.

• Must be able to receive instructions and perform routine duties as directed.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality products.
• Receives instructions, rolls torches, steel and tool buggies to bed and unloads.
• Lays out rebar, plates, loops, channel and insulations, etc.
• Pulls strand, threading bulkheads, block outs, frames and dead man, and cuts strand with grinder and places chucks on ends.
• Places and ties rebar, loops, stem and flange wire, chair flange wire, and places form and side plates.
• Prepares for pours.
• Cleans up around beds after members are stripped and disposes of trash, scrap wood, etc.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Summary of Primary Functions:

Cuts strand, and assists with the process of pouring concrete in bed as necessary for the production of a concrete member. Assists with housekeeping and other plant tasks.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:

• Education and/or Experience : High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
