Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. seeks a Training and Development professional to design and implement comprehensive training across multiple functions. The role ensures OSHA/HACCP/GMP compliance, maintains records, and partners with external providers to certify staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description AMPI owns six Midwest-based manufacturing plants where 10 percent of the nation's American-type cheese and processed cheese is produced. The cooperative's award-winning cheese and powdered dairy products are marketed to foodservice, retail and food ingredient customers. In 2019, the co‑op launched its Dinner Bell Creamery brand and accompanying Co‑op Crafted promise, highlighting more than 50 years of dairy farm families partnering with skilled Cheesemakers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive training programs for personnel across various functions. Ensure all training materials, programs, and content are current, relevant, and compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Conduct training sessions for new hires, current employees, and management. Collaborate with managers and supervisors to assess skill gaps and provide training to enhance team performance. Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and guidance to less experienced personnel.

Ensure all employees are trained and certified in OSHA-required certifications (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, First Aid/CPR). Maintain accurate records of employee certifications, training completions, and renewal deadlines. Coordinate with external training providers or certification programs as needed.

Promote a culture of safety by emphasizing safety protocols, hazard recognition, and safe work practices.

Ensure training programs meet OSHA, HACCP, GMP, and Other Applicable Compliance Requirements. Address Safety Concerns Or nonconformities promptly in collaboration with department supervisors and the EHS Specialist.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance evaluations. Identify areas for improvement and update training programs accordingly.

Implement new training technologies and approaches (e.g., e-learning, simulation-based training). Develop and manage training schedules to ensure timely and consistent employee training.

Coordinate training sessions with plant production schedules to minimize downtime. Support performance evaluations by providing training data and skills assessments.
