Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. seeks a Training and Development professional to design and implement comprehensive training across multiple functions. The role ensures OSHA/HACCP/GMP compliance, maintains records, and partners with external providers to certify staff.

You will deliver sessions for new hires and current staff, mentor less experienced personnel, and help minimize downtime by coordinating with plant production schedules. Emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description AMPI owns six Midwest-based manufacturing plants where 10 percent of the nation's American-type cheese and processed cheese is produced. The cooperative's award-winning cheese and powdered dairy products are marketed to foodservice, retail and food ingredient customers. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive training programs for personnel across various functions. Ensure all training materials, programs, and content are current, relevant, and compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Conduct training sessions for new hires, current employees, and management. Collaborate with managers and supervisors to assess skill gaps and provide training to enhance team performance. Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and guidance to less experienced personnel.

Ensure all employees are trained and certified in OSHA-required certifications (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, First Aid/CPR). Maintain accurate records of employee certifications, training completions, and renewal deadlines. Coordinate with external training providers or certification programs as needed.

Promote a culture of safety by emphasizing safety protocols, hazard recognition, and safe work practices.
