Job summary

Continental is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to lead training for hourly, non-exempt and exempt employees at the Sumter, SC site. You will supervise trainers, develop effective programs, and align training with plant objectives to improve retention and performance.

You will manage LMS administration, onboarding, needs assessments, and performance evaluations, using MS Office tools to create content.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
2+ years of experience in a training or mentoring position in manufacturing.
2+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).

Responsibilities

Assess training needs for hourly and non-exempt employees, planning and developing materials.
Supervise and assign tasks to trainers, ensuring competence.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement improvements.
Mentor and provide direct support to trainers or arrange additional training.
Administer time and attendance policies for trainers.
Oversee performance evaluations for hourly employees.
Act as the LMS administrator and develop training solutions.
Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires and transitions.
Design training programs to improve job performance.
Maintain training records and ensure competency-based training.
