Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Technical Degree preferred, or 7-10 years of manufacturing operations experience.
  • 2+ years of Training/L&D experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of training principles, adult learning, and facilitation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technical systems, and product knowledge.
  • Commitment to safety in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong communication across verbal, written, and presentation formats.
  • Effective training facilitation and instructional delivery skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical understanding.

Responsibilities

Employee Training and Development

Develop and deliver purposeful training materials aligned to manufacturing (MFG) processes, including LEAN methodologies, ensuring content supports both operational excellence and employee growth.

Coordinate and facilitate key MFG training programs such as Quality, HYPull, Kanban, AS400, Safety, and New Hire Orientation, connecting learning to real business impact.

Deliver and/or coordinate critical compliance and skills-based training programs, both internally and through external partners, including but not limited to:

  • Shop Floor Essentials
  • Resident Contractor Training
  • Forklift Certification
  • High Voltage Certification

Partner with external training providers to ensure seamless program execution and a positive, engaging learning environment that reflects the HYCare mindset.

Promote a culture of continuous learning by delivering training that is practical, meaningful, and reinforces safety, quality, respect, and care for people.

Continuous Improvement

Design and enhance training solutions that support the continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes and the successful launch of new products, with a clear focus on value delivery.

Facilitate LEAN and waste reduction initiatives through Kaizen events, encouraging employee participation and ownership.

Develop, track, and communicate metrics that demonstrate the impact and outcomes of continuous improvement efforts.

Support the creation and maintenance of Value Stream Maps to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and flow.

Investigate, recommend, and help implement process and technology improvements that drive cost savings, safety, and capacity optimization.

Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to identify and implement solutions that enhance both operational performance and the employee experience.

Champion and sustain 5S + Safety practices across both office and manufacturing environments, reinforcing a culture of accountability and care.

Continuously assess and adapt learning approaches to meet evolving business priorities and workforce needs.

Supporting the Business and Expertise

Partner with business leaders to proactively identify and deliver learning and development solutions that align with strategic priorities and operational goals.

Clearly connect learning outcomes to business results, individual development, and long-term career growth.

Monitor learner understanding and engagement, adjusting delivery methods as needed to ensure effective knowledge transfer and retention.

Enable and empower employees across all learning experiences, fostering confidence, capability, and accountability.

Stay current with manufacturing trends, LEAN practices, and learning innovations, applying insights to continuously improve training effectiveness.

Leverage internal and external data and trends to inform and evolve learning strategies.

Own the tracking, documentation, and reporting of all assigned and completed training for the location to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Actively participate as a subject matter expert in both internal and external audits.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Technical Degree (preferred), or 7-10 years of manufacturing operations experience
