Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. (BCI) in Syracuse, NY is seeking a motivated Business Trainee for a 12-18 month development program designed to provide hands-on exposure to all areas of corrugated packaging operations.

The role develops candidates into future Production Supervisors and Plant Leaders, with flexibility for shift work and relocation to advance within the organization. Training covers safety, quality, production planning, equipment operations and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Degree preferred in business, manufacturing, engineering or related field.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Results-oriented with ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Follow safety rules and ISO standards.
• Learn corrugated manufacturing operations through structured training.
• Gain exposure to production planning, scheduling, and workflow management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, productivity and waste reduction.
• Analyze production data and operating metrics.
• Assist with identifying and resolving production and equipment issues.
• Participate in troubleshooting machinery and processes.
• Learn reporting systems and production tracking.
• Support process improvement and cost-reduction projects.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Attend training programs and workshops.
• Assist with machine operation and production activities with safety awareness.
• Operate forklifts as needed following safety requirements.
