Job Description

The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for keeping inventory in the Jackson plant for replacement parts for machines, tools and keep-stock items. The Tool Crib Attendant is also responsible to work with the management team to enter requisitions and obtain quotes where needed.

Essential Jobs and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Stock inventory in tool crib
  • Conduct daily cycle count of tool crib
  • Create requisitions
  • Pick up and deliver parts
  • Send out parts and equipment for repair
  • Properly return incorrect shipments for ordered items
  • Obtain quotes from vendors where required
  • Work with vendors for keep-stock supplies
  • Work with Corporate purchasing department.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as needed or assigned
  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
  • Computer experience - JDE, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, Excel & Word
  • Capable of lifting up to 35lbs periodically.
  • Good communication skills to interact with various departments
  • Any other tasks as assigned.
  • Must follow and comply with Safety & Quality Absolutes.
  • Must follow and comply with all ISO 9001, Food Safety, and ISO 15378 established
  • requirements.
  • Must follow all regulatory laws and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in Accounting, Tool Crib or Inventory Control preferred.
  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
  • Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Capable of lifting up to 35lbs repeatedly.
  • Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Bump Cap or Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.
  • Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Negative drug screen results.
  • Work in a safe manner.
