Actalent is seeking an Engineering Technician in the Waukesha, WI area to support testing of new and existing designs in a laboratory setting. The role involves setting up equipment, conducting tests on prototypes and competitors, and documenting measurements with a range of instruments under supervision.

Responsibilities include assembling test rigs, following approved procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects.

• Accurately interpret, record, and document scientific notation, temperature, pressure, and other measurement data.

The Engineering Technician is responsible for performing testing on current and new product designs under close supervision.

This role supports continuous improvement initiatives to reduce the potential for product defects and contributes to laboratory operations in accordance with established standards and procedures.

• Set up test equipment and products in the correct sequence in accordance with approved test procedures.
• Perform testing on prototypes, existing products, and competitor products based on defined criteria involving mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical functions
• Utilize a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement instruments.
• Accurately interpret, record, and document scientific notation, temperature, pressure, and other measurement data.
• Assist with the assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products according to blueprint specifications.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
