Actalent is seeking an Engineering Technician in Waukesha, WI, to support testing of current and new product designs under supervision. The role contributes to continuous improvement and laboratory operations following established standards and procedures.

You will set up equipment, test prototypes and existing products, and document results using mechanical, electrical, and environmental criteria. This is a permanent, onsite role with multiple shifts available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must provide basic personal hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to work with tools.

Responsabilités

• Set up test equipment and products in the correct sequence per approved test procedures.
• Perform testing on prototypes, existing products and competitor products based on defined criteria (mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical).
• Use a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement instruments.
• Accurately interpret, record, and document measurements like temperature and pressure.
• Assist with assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products per blueprint specs.

The Engineering Technician is responsible for performing testing on current and new product designs under close supervision.

This role supports continuous improvement initiatives to reduce the potential for product defects and contributes to laboratory operations in accordance with established standards and procedures.

• Set up test equipment and products in the correct sequence in accordance with approved test procedures.
• Perform testing on prototypes, existing products, and competitor products based on defined criteria involving mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical functions
• Utilize a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement instruments.
• Accurately interpret, record, and document scientific notation, temperature, pressure, and other measurement data.
• Assist with the assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products according to blueprint specifications.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools.
• Comfortable working around electrical wiring and wire harnesses.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reliable, trainable, and willing to learn new equipment and processes.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
