Job summary

Archer is seeking an engineering leader to scale the manufacturing test organization for aircraft programs from prototype to production. You will guide two teams, drive end-to-end testing of avionics and HV systems, and champion automation and data analytics to improve throughput.

The role requires 8+ years in electromechanical hardware testing with 3+ years in people management, plus hands-on expertise in Python, LabVIEW, TestStand and airframe data protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, or Manufacturing)
• 8+ years testing complex electromechanical hardware
• 3+ years directly managing engineering teams
• Experience developing and maintaining manufacturing and test documentation
• Background in designing, procuring, and qualifying test equipment, fixtures, and GSE
• Hands-on experience with test automation (Python, LabVIEW, TestStand) and aircraft data protocols CAN, Ethernet, ARINC 429

Responsibilities

• Lead two dedicated teams across Test Operations & Execution and Test Development & Design
• Own end-to-end testing across avionics, low/high voltage systems, and ATP to airworthiness records
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to incorporate Design for Testability (DFT)
• Set manufacturing test roadmap from low- to full-rate production
• Deliver test infrastructure, automation, and analytics to maximize throughput
• Hire, mentor, and develop test engineers and technicians
