Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to lead the test strategy and implementation for the production environment at the Kennesaw, GA facility. You will define test plans, select equipment, and ensure test sequences meet takt time and quality goals.

The role requires strong hands-on experience in test engineering, hardware and software development, and proficiency with NI TestStand, C#/.Net, and Linux.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience in Test Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or Software Development.
• Experience with Data acquisition, Instrument control and Communication protocols (USB, UART, I2C, SPI).
• Proficient in National Instruments TestStand, C#/.Net, Linux and other programming environments.
• Able to interpret electrical schematics to develop test plans and diagnose faults.
• Experience with Test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscopes, Power Supply).
• Familiar with QA-oriented documentation and software tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production test/assembly processes and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
• Create standards for test sequences across product lines for consistency and quality.
• Lead root cause analyses for test failures and implement corrective actions.
• Review design documents for DFT and DFM compliance.
• Develop test strategies including equipment, sequences, and test code.
• Improve first pass yield by reducing false tests and equipment faults.
• Produce and maintain documentation and training for production teams.
• Support multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
