Job summary

Google in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer (Mid) to drive test development for Google’s hardware products. You will evaluate designs and create repeatable testing processes, collaborating with Design Engineers and Commodity Managers to meet infrastructure needs.

The role emphasizes software and hardware test planning, scripting in Python, and building test platforms for global manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in manufacturing test development or a similar role.
1 year of experience in Python.

Responsibilities

Support Manufacturing Test Development for new and existing hardware designs and willing to travel about 10% of the time.
Write test plans and drive test coverage based on product requirements and develop automated test scripts for functional tests, software installation and burn-in using Python.
Design, build and deploy test platforms for Google's global manufacturing partners.
Analyze, troubleshoot and root cause manufacturing yield issues and field escapes. Drive issues to closure with preventive measures.
Define the Manufacturing Test Strategy for new Products and works with our partners to jointly develop the required Test solutions.
