Job summary

General Mills Albuquerque, NM plant is hiring a Manufacturing Technician on 12.5-hour rotating shifts (3-2-2). Starting pay is $24.95/hour with overtime as needed.

This role supports packaging and processing lines, performs equipment startup and shutdown, and collaborates with maintenance to troubleshoot issues. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied conditions, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work rotating 12.5-hour shifts.
• English communication with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort working in hot, cold, noisy, wet or dusty conditions.
• Ability to climb and work at heights and use PPE.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machinery with maintenance staff.
• Calibrate processing and packaging systems to specifications.
• Participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of equipment.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Support bagging, stacking, counting, paper feeding, oiling, and line operations.
• Assist other plant areas as assigned.
