Job summary

BETA TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in South Burlington, Vermont, responsible for production operations in innovative electric aircraft components. The ideal candidate will perform hands-on assembly, ensure quality control, and collaborate within a small team. Job description

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for production operations on innovative electric aircraft components through hands‑on assembly. The role involves working in a small team, developing a low volume production area into a fully established manufacturing department, and continuously improving quality and throughput. The candidate will perform daily assembly tasks, refine manufacturing processes, design jigs, maintain documentation, and collaborate with peers to integrate design changes.

How You Will Contribute To Revolutionizing Electric Aviation

• Hands‑on assembly of electric powertrain components
• Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the manufacturing processes as the key process owner
• Performing in‑process quality control inspections, raising concerns about process deviations, and troubleshooting issues
• Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with internal and external quality systems, including process data (fastener torque, electrical checks, etc.)
• Performing regular inspection and cleaning of manufacturing equipment and routine maintenance
• Maintaining maintenance logs for machines and processes
• Providing productivity and incident reports as needed
• Using mandated safety equipment and complying with safety requirements
• Performing other work‑related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Two‑year degree or certificate from an accredited two‑year college, university, or technical school (preferred)
• Knowledge of and ability to apply the principles of Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement, Lean 5S, and Kanban (preferred)
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics of mechanical and electrical components
• Understanding of how electric motors work
• Good team communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Above And Beyond Qualifications

• Previous experience building electric motors
• Previous CAD experience (specifically 3DX/Catia)
• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Experience taking a new product from engineering release to full‑rate production
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Manual dexterity

Compensation

$26—$34 USD per hour (or equivalent)
