Job Description

Lay Up Technician TR Job Description

Assists other team members with lay-up and fabricates composite aircraft parts.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist in lay-up and fabrication of composite aircraft parts, major components, and structures using prepreg composite fabrics and other materials.
  • Learn the Kanban system for SF and SR.
  • Observe and learn the proper use of WI, Solumina, and the completion of the layup portion of CSOs.
  • Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Complete Cirrus University training.
  • Maintain attention to detail; keep work areas clean, orderly, and presentable. Apply the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety).
  • Follow all paperwork and work instructions related to job duties.
  • Understand all process specifications and reference information.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards or incidents.
  • Wear proper protective equipment during job functions.
  • May be assigned to different work areas as production needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, or 1-12 months of experience and training.
  • 1-3 months related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
