Job description

Philadelphia Technician Training Institute is a growing school with a rapidly expanding Automation/Electrical Manufacturing program. We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician Instructor with an Industrial Maintenance background to teach various technical training courses.

Successful candidates will have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Allen Bradley and Siemens Programmable Logic Controls, robotics, motor controls, hydraulics and pneumatics, automated systems, quality, mechanical/electrical design in high-speed processes, fluid transfer, energy systems, profitability, project management, and re-engineering factory systems and equipment at a hands-on level.

Selected applicants will teach basic to advanced DC circuits and soldering skills, along with circuit board analysis (appliance repair troubleshooting). This position emphasizes hands-on training, Ohm's Law, and applying this knowledge to manufacturing systems such as motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing setting
• Some teaching or training experience
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Proficiency in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Robotics experience preferred
• Experience with Direct Current Circuitry
• 2-3 years of direct manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Ability to teach manufacturing electricity in the classroom
• Ability to design and develop industry-trend-aligned lessons
• Create engaging labs and lectures
• Share industry experience and network with professionals
• Passion for the electrical industry and the ability to inspire students
• Assist in hands-on training on safety standards, work procedures, and practices
• Provide technical and logistical support for classroom projects

Pay rate: Depends on experience and qualifications

Job Type: Full-time
