Job Description

Philadelphia Technician Training Institute is a growing school with a rapidly expanding Automation/Electrical Manufacturing program. We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician Instructor with an Industrial Maintenance background to teach various technical training courses.

Successful candidates will have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Allen Bradley and Siemens Programmable Logic Controls, robotics, motor controls, hydraulics and pneumatics, automated systems, quality, mechanical/electrical design in high-speed processes, fluid transfer, energy systems, profitability, project management, and re-engineering factory systems and equipment at a hands-on level.

Selected applicants will teach basic to advanced DC circuits and soldering skills, along with circuit board analysis (troubleshooting). This position emphasizes hands-on training, Ohm's Law, and applying this knowledge to manufacturing systems such as motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Qualifications

• Experience working with mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing setting
• Some teaching or training experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Proficiency in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Robotics experience
• Direct Current Circuitry experience
• 2-3 years of direct manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
• Ability to teach manufacturing-related electricity in the classroom
• Ability to design and develop lessons aligned with industry trends
• Ability to create engaging labs and lectures
• Share personal industry experiences
• Network with industry professionals and build project ties
• Share passion for the electrical industry with students and families
• Assist in hands-on training on safety standards, work procedures, and operating practices
• Provide technical and logistical support for classroom projects

Pay rate: Depends on experience and qualifications
