Eaton’s IS AER MSD is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician III. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility.

Manufacturing technicians are responsible for performing assembly and test processes on aerospace hardware, developing hardware, creating functional test setups, working with high-pressure gases, and collaborating with engineering to deliver quality aerospace components and systems.

Core hours for this position are 6:00AM-3:00PM.

The hourly rate is $28.32 per hour. Please note this is a general guideline; salaries depend on skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

What You’ll Do
  • Coordinate with the Production Supervisor regarding production needs to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Perform assembly and testing of hardware following instructions and certified systems.
  • Utilize pneumatic and thermal test equipment to evaluate aerospace systems.
  • Use pressure gauges, flowmeters, relief valves, and transducers to create test setups per engineering diagrams and customer specifications.
  • Work with complex mechanical and electrical assemblies, understanding surface finishes and cleanliness requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and high-pressure test equipment issues.
  • Manage calibration, expiration, and accuracy of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure traceability of components for assembly accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on process improvements to reduce lead time, costs, waste, and enhance safety.
  • Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
  • Assist in training and mentoring lower-level technicians.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least 4 years of aerospace manufacturing experience, or 5 years military experience, or 6 years relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Must be a U.S. person per ITAR regulations.
  • Reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY (active duty military exempt).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology.
  • Experience with high-pressure testing.
  • Experience in space systems manufacturing.
Skills
  • Understanding of electrical equipment such as power supplies, meters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
