Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking a manufacturing operator in York, PA to operate forming presses, CNC machines, and related equipment. The role involves setting up equipment, monitoring production, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of manufacturing experience and a high school diploma. Willingness to train Level I technicians and support various finishing processes is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate forming presses, CNC machines, threading equipment, or welding stations.
• Perform equipment setup and changeovers for different sizes or product types.
• Monitor heat treatment, forging, or machining processes for consistency.
• Perform dimensional inspections (length, diameter, thread pitch, etc.).
• Identify and resolve routine production issues such as misfeeds or tooling wear.
• Record production, downtime, and scrap data in tracking systems.
• Support coating or finishing processes (galvanizing, plating, painting).
• Ensure material traceability throughout the production process.
• Train and assist Level I technicians.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
