Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II to join the Vision/MedTech manufacturing team in Jacksonville. You will operate and maintain automated production lines, ensure safety and quality, and support process improvements to reduce variability.

Responsibilities include routine machine setup, line audits, and collaboration with supervisors to implement corrective actions and preventive maintenance. The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of relevant technical/vocational experience.
• Ability to prioritize projects and balance multiple tasks.
• Proficient interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• This position requires completion of the Ramsay Mechanical Proficiency Test.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 25 lbs and physical mobility.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (6pm–6am or 6am–6pm), including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Meets all requirements from level I.
• On designated generation line, perform routine setup and adjustments.
• Carry out line audits and maintain best-practice worksheets.
• Provide technical and line-management training to junior technicians.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
• Record downtime, repairs, audits, and non-conformance events.
• Communicate processes and updates on manufacturing line boards.
• Assist in CAPAs, protocols, validations, and related projects.
• Demonstrate proficiency in process troubleshooting and line management.
