Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is recruiting a Value Stream Manufacturing Lead (Technician V) to oversee a production line, driving safety, quality, and productivity.

You'll lead a cross-functional team, mentor technicians, and coordinate schedule, maintenance, and process improvements across four shifts.

This role requires a high level of hands-on technical expertise, communication, and a commitment to Lean Six Sigma principles to sustain world-class manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Education: A High school diploma is required, associate degree or equivalent highly preferred.
• Experience and Skills: A minimum of six (6) years of relevant technical/vocational shown experience required.
• Proficient interpersonal skills, both written and verbal required.
• Ability to prioritize projects, tasks and handle multiple tasks.
• Physical demands include stooping, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, etc.
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Qualified on designated generation line qualification.
• Meet safety, quality, and production targets across 4 shifts.
• Provide peer leadership, mentorship, and training.
• Coordinate scheduling, monitoring, presenting, and problem solving of line activities.
• Work with cross-functional teams to schedule and facilitate equipment/process improvements.
• Provide management updates on safety, quality, and production across four shifts.
• Coordinate downtime with partners to minimize brand impact.
• Lead team to execute preventative maintenance activities.
• Coordinate brand administration support for production line activities.
• Lead routine cleaning, jams clearance, material insertions, equipment adjustments, and repairs.
