Job summary

Anchor Bay Powder Coat in New Baltimore, MI seeks a Manufacturing Technician to support production operations from preparing parts to coating and inspecting throughout the process.

The role involves masking, blasting, powder coating, painting, quality inspection, and material handling; expect to work with safety policies, PPE, and documentation. 1st shift 7:00am–3:30pm; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, industrial, coating, painting, blasting, or material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn new skills.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for processing through cleaning, masking, plugging, and staging activities.
• Load and unload parts, materials, and products onto racks, hooks, conveyors, carts, and other production equipment.
• Operate production equipment and tools as trained and assigned.
• Assist with blasting, painting, powder coating, curing, and finishing processes.
• Read and follow work orders, production schedules, process instructions, and quality requirements.
• Inspect products and components to ensure compliance with customer and quality standards.
• Accurately complete required production documentation and records.
• Identify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, safety hazards, or production delays.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work effectively with supervisors and teammates to meet production goals and delivery schedules.
• Participate in problem-solving activities and recommend process improvements.
• Cross-train and perform duties in multiple departments as business needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
