Job summary

Sheridan Ohio, part of the Sheridan Group, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician-Bindery for the day shift to operate high-speed bindery equipment, perform setup and maintenance on the Perfect Binder, and support a collaborative production crew.

• Team player with ability to lead and direct crew.
• Physically able to load bundles from 30 to 100 lbs.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality and reliability.
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

What You’ll Do

• Perform all set up operation and maintenance of the Perfect Binder.
• Oversee the work performance and training of assigned crew members
• Training of Assistant Operator and other crew members
• Delegate/Assign work duties to assigned crew members.
• Customize orders to specifications/requirements.
• Maintain quality and quantity standards.
• Complete processes related to paperwork and forms.
• May handle hazardous waste as a part of daily job functions.
• Other duties assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who:

• Have good mechanical and organizational skills.

• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• 3-5 years machine operating experience
• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Basic small packaging knowledge
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
