Job summary

Briggs & Stratton in Statesboro, GA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician B for the 2nd shift to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, set up a variety of machines, and ensure high quality output.

You will train colleagues, document processes, and work with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. A high school diploma and 1.5 years in relevant fields are required; forklift experience is a plus; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Manufacturing Technician B- 2nd shift $27.25 (+2 shift premium)

As a Manufacturing Technician B your goal is to use your technical expertise, to be the go‑to person for troubleshooting and repairing production equipment in your area. You'll also be responsible for setting up various production machines to ensure top‑notch quality products are manufactured.

You will do this by:

Maintaining mechanical, electrical and hydraulics systems for a variety of equipment

Perform various operations to alter and repair tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, gauges and guarding

Troubleshoots and repairs equipment; performs preventative maintenance

Responsible for statistical process charting, interpretation, and trend‑analysis in order to perform process or equipment adjustments to bring parts into specification

Trains employees; assigns and directs work; provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee work performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Minimum of 1.5 years’ relevant working experience to include; Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic skills

Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours)

Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours)

Position Description
