Job summary

Itron, Inc. in West Union, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for the 2nd shift to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and support other maintenance tasks to ensure uptime.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree in Mechatronics or related field, with hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You can work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Associate's degree in Mechatronics or related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• 1+ years of experience as a technician in manufacturing.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts and components to minimize downtime.
• Communicate status and capabilities to production supervision and support staff.
• Maintain records of maintenance tasks, repairs and inspections.
• Assist engineers and support staff on special projects.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery and systems.
