Job summary

Itron's West Union, SC plant seeks a Sr RF Engineer to lead RF circuit design from concept to production for our wireless product line. You will design, measure, and optimize RF/ Microwave blocks and work with cross‑functional teams to meet specs.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in RF design; Master’s preferred. The role offers a competitive benefits package and a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop new RF products and improve existing ones.

• Perform RF measurements and verifications with lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, scopes).
• Coordinate with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing teams.
• Support field studies and system test activities.

Join us.Our West Union, SC manufacturing plant is looking for an RF Design Engineer to join our Wireless Hardware R&D team. In this role, you will design, modify and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. In addition, you will serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. As an RF Design Engineer, your Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle, from product release through maintenance of the product and end of life decisions. Lastly, you will promote investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities and ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals. **Duties & Responsibilities:*** Develop new products, support existing products and improve processes, specifically related to RF and communication design* Lead RF circuit design from concept to production for low cost wireless communications product-line – complete radio transceiver design and layout including RF PA, LNA, RF filters and matching, synthesizers, VCO's and mixers.* Conduct RF circuit measurements using laboratory spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.* Verify that designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation, and measurement. Compare results to theory and documents results.* Carry out field studies and system test activities.* Provide design and project support in the areas of project leadership, regulation, reliability, and components selections.
