Job summary

Tris Pharma, Inc. in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, is hiring a Manufacturing Technician on 2nd shift (M-F 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM). The role supports production of pharmaceutical products in compliance with SOPs, cGMPs and FDA standards, operating and maintaining equipment, and documenting batch records.

Positions range from Tech I to Sr Tech, with pay rates from $23 to $34 per hour depending on experience. The company offers a competitive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, 401(k)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ year related manufacturing experience (Tech I).
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years experience (Tech II).
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years, solid dosage experience (Sr Tech).
  • Ability to read and interpret SOPs and batch records.

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products per SOPs and batch records.
  • Operate, set up, and maintain production equipment for various batch sizes.
  • Document activities accurately to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures.

Located in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, Tris has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Technician on 2nd shift. Days/Hours are M-F 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for supporting and assisting in the production of a range of pharmaceutical products in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards and batch record specifications. She/he operates, sets-up, and maintains various pharmaceutical production equipment as assigned, and thoroughly and accurately documents all activities to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Primary duties/responsibilities
  • Supports and assists in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products according to SOPs, cGMPs, FDA standards and batch record specifications
  • Performs the day to day activities of the production process as assigned, including but not limited to: weighing, blending, filling, compression, coating and/or granulation, etc.
  • Assists in set up, change over and test runs of equipment for various sized batches and various products, as needed
  • Collaborates with other production staff and departments
  • Accurately and consistently completes and documents batch records and other required paperwork
  • Precisely follows work orders and specifications
  • Adheres to all plant safety policies and procedures
Requirements

Minimum education and years of relevant work experience

Manufacturing Tech I - High school diploma or equivalent and minimum 1 year work experience

Manufacturing Tech II - High school diploma or equivalent and minimum 3 years work experience

Sr Manufacturing Tech - High school diploma or equivalent and minimum 5 years work experience - Solid Dosage experience required

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety and environmental policies, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, etc.
  • Basic PC skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members
  • Analytical thinking with problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Ability and willingness to work additional hours as required by business needs
  • Special knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or certificates preferred
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing procedures and federal regulations pertaining to manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of good manufacturing systems and familiarity with regulatory and manufacturing SOPs and cGMPs
  • Associates degree or some college coursework

Manufacturing Technician I - Anticipated pay rate: $23-25/hour.

Manufacturing Technician II - Anticipated pay rate: $26-30/hour

Senior Manufacturing Technician - Anticipated pay rate: $32-34/hour

Pay rate offered is contingent on assessment of candidate's education and experience level relative to requirements of the position and a review of related industry standards and internal equity.
