Job summary

Wells Vehicle Electronics in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking a qualified maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment, oversee assembly from start to finish and support continuous improvement efforts.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent, can lead small teams of 2–5, diagnose failures across mechanical, pneumaitc and electronics systems, and communicate clearly while multitasking to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively - typically team of 2-5 members
  • Ability to diagnose equipment failures and repair mechanical, pneumatic and electronics systems
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and able to consistently meet project deadlines

Responsibilities

Job description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of equipment, setup and changeovers, and training of AMT and TNT technicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the assembly process from start to finish.
  • Understand and monitor PLC and Robotic programs.
  • Equipment troubleshooting and repair.
  • Report production statistics such as finished goods, scrap, productivity, etc.
  • Order supplies and equipment when needed, maintain spare parts inventory
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Ensure proper tooling and computer programs are applied to new product setups.
  • Support production operators and Engineering to resolve production issues.
  • Participate in process improvement activities.
  • Other activities as assigned.
Essential Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:
  • Associates degree in Electromechanical Technology or Automated Manufacturing Systems; An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively - typically team of 2-5 members
  • Ability to diagnose equipment failures and repair mechanical, pneumatic and electronics systems
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and able to consistently meet project deadlines
Equipment Used:
  • Computer, telephone, hand tools, and production equipment.
Personal Protective Equipment/Clothing Required (PPE):
  • Safety glasses with attached side shields; ESD smock and grounding equipment
  • Heat resistant and/or cut resistant gloves – based on workstation
  • Disposal gloves/finger cots as required
