Job summary

Hologic is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Marlborough, MA to perform assembly, testing, inspection, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of products in a GMP-regulated setting. You will document results, collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations, and support continuous improvement while maintaining strict quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, familiarity with medical device regulations, and the ability to work in a cleanroom or controlled

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or trade school certification in Electronics Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Experience with product assembly, testing, troubleshooting, inspection, and shipping activities.
• Experience in the medical device, diagnostics, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, products, and subassemblies according to specifications and established procedures.
• Accurately document test results, process data, and production records in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to support production objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and communicate daily production metrics through management board updates.
• Participate in process validation activities and recommend improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Adhere to 6S standards and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Verify that all calibrated equipment is operating within specified limits prior to use.
• Review nonconforming material documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Report product, process, or equipment issues through the Nonconformance Report (NCR) process.
• Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and business demands.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, perform assembly, testing, inspection, calibration, troubleshooting, rework, and repair of products, equipment, and subassemblies in accordance with approved assembly drawings, schematics, work instructions, and quality procedures. Ensure compliance with applicable quality system and regulatory requirements, including ISO 13485, FDA Quality System Regulations (21 CFR Part 820), and GMP standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or trade school certification in Electronics Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Experience with product assembly, testing, troubleshooting, inspection, and shipping activities.
• Experience in the medical device, diagnostics, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) practices preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Oracle, Agile, or similar ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Experience using hand tools and test equipment, including screwdrivers, wrenches, torque tools, crimpers, soldering equipment, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, specifications, and work instructions.
• Understanding of GMP, FDA regulations, and ISO 13485 quality system requirements.
• Strong computer skills, including data entry, documentation, and spreadsheet applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with all applicable FDA regulations, ISO requirements, and company quality standards.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment and perform duties requiring standing, walking, lifting, and manual dexterity as needed.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary to support production requirements.

Compensation

The annualized base salary range for this role is $46,000 - $69,100 This position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, location, business needs, and market conditions.
