Job summary

Hologic, Inc. is seeking an Operations team member to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot equipment to meet production requirements. You will work with engineers on setup and calibration, perform quality testing, and document results using Oracle and Agile systems.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in manufacturing or operations, with strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work independently within a team and maintain 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or Associate degree is preferred one.
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing/operations.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP or Agile PLM is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment to ensure production meets area requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers on setup, calibration, and quality testing of parts and assemblies.
  • Use Oracle and Agile to retrieve and document information; perform data entry accurately.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements; participate in MDIs and cost-saving ideas.
  • Maintain 5S and safety standards; ensure training records are up to date.

What to expect:

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment and activities in order to ensure production meets all requirements of the area.Works with engineers on set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Responsible for following all operating procedures to the highest standard.

Works collaboratively with manufacturing associates, engineering, quality, and leadership to execute on production requirements. Supports engineering experimentation and operational improvement initiatives as requested. Participates on teams to identify opportunities for improvements within production area. May assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment and activities in order to ensure production meets all requirements of the area.
  • Consistently able to meet standard cycle time for production.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints required to ensure proper calibration of equipment.
  • Able to apply working knowledge of test equipment required within Operations area independently.
  • Report all non-conformances to Team Lead or Supervisor and complete NCEs as appropriate. Review non-conforming materials for accuracy.
  • Ensure that processes are developed and executed in a manner which supports all Hologic Quality Standards.
  • Perform root cause investigations with Operations team utilizing intermediate troubleshooting tools.
  • Perform process validations as required and suggest process improvements to Team Lead or engineering team.
  • Able to complete simple redlines to documentation in alignment with engineering direction.
  • Active participant in managed daily improvement process and contributes to MDI discussions within areas of expertise.
  • Maintain and execute 5S within work area.
  • Complete all training requirements in a timely manner and maintain accurate training records.
  • Conduct inventory transactions to maintain integrity of inventory system.
  • Timely and complete processing of work order transactions utilizing Oracle system.
  • Utilize Oracle and Agile to retrieve necessary documentation and ensure accurate information.
  • Maintains data entry tools and completes material orders independently.
  • Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to adhere to standardized production schedule for position and ability to work overtime to support production needs as necessary.
Education & Experience:
  • Preferred Minimum Non-Technical Degree: High School (H.S./GED) or Associate Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP system or Agile Product Lifecycle Management system is beneficial.
Skills
  • Proficient working understanding of Microsoft Office platform including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and OneDrive required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow all written procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision and as a member of a team.
  • High-level attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Detail oriented and accurate.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Trained to execute 3-4 roles within the Operations team.
  • Certified as a Subject Matter Expert for 1+ roles within the Operations team.
  • Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling best practices is beneficial.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $$46,400- $69,600 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will depend on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, location, education, business needs, and market demand.
