Job summary

Insitu in the United States is seeking a hands-on UAV technician to assemble, disassemble, repair, install and inspect components and subsystems. You will perform modular assembly tasks and assist in configuring air vehicles and the ground control station.

You will maintain calibration of tools, conduct basic measurements, follow safety processes and document activities accurately. You will also help troubleshoot UAV systems under supervision and communicate status to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, repair, install, and inspect UAV components and subsystems
• Perform modular assembly tasks as directed
• Assist in programming and configuring air vehicle and ground control station (GCS) systems
• Maintain, test, and calibrate tools and equipment
• Perform basic measurements and quality checks
• Safely use and maintain hand and power tools
• Complete routine business and required documentation accurately
• Assist in troubleshooting UAV systems under supervision
• Follow established safety and quality processes
• Support routine preventative maintenance of UAVs and related systems
• Communicate status and issues to supervisors or engineering staff as needed
