Manufacturing Technician – Level 1 or Level 2 (Promontory, UT)

This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

Job Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow established planning or procedures.
• Set up and operate automated equipment – PLC or manually controlled.
• Understand machine fault codes and the related mechanical/electrical relationships that affect machine operation.
• Make operator‑controlled repairs as required.
• Work with several types of adhesives and adjoining systems.
• Pass all job‑specific or specialized certification programs required for core tasks or specialized assignments.
• Work weekends and holidays as required.
• Work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications – Level 1

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, work from knees, ascend/descend ladders, and lift, bend, twist, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
• Read, comprehend, and follow established written instructions without deviation.
• Perform basic math and measurement functions.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications – Level 2

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, work from knees, ascend/descend ladders, and lift, bend, twist, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
• Read, comprehend, and follow established written instructions without deviation.
• Perform basic math and measurement functions.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Operating industrial equipment such as cranes, forklifts, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools.
• Experience performing sanding and finishing on customer products.
• Make operator‑controlled repairs as required.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Curiosity about developments within the Northrop Grumman Space Sector.

Salary Range

Primary Level Salary Range: $37,400.00 – $62,400.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives.
